Every 15 minutes someone hears the life shattering words ‘you have bowel cancer’.

And every 30 minutes another family will lose a loved one from this devastating disease.

But it doesn’t have to be this way. When bowel cancer is diagnosed early it’s treatable and curable. In fact, 9 in 10 people will survive the disease when diagnosed at the earliest stage. But at the latest stage, your chance of survival plummets to just 1 in 10.

As the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity, our vision is simple: a future where nobody dies from the disease.

Tragically right now, fewer than 4 in 10 people are diagnosed at the early stages. Just like you, we want to make sure everybody has what they need to protect them and their families in the future. That’s why our work on early diagnosis is so vital.

• Our impactful awareness roadshows ensure thousands of people across the UK know the signs and symptoms of bowel cancer
• Our GP training makes sure frontline healthcare professionals know what to look for
• And our research helps us understand and overcome the barriers many communities face to early diagnosis
  

However, we know that the families affected by bowel cancer today still need us. That’s why our incredible team work tirelessly to provide the information, support and reassurancepeople need during their darkest moments.

• Our online forum and peer support line give people the chance to speak with others who understand what they’re going through
• And our trusted health information and Ask The Nurse email service ensures everyone can access the vital information they need, when the need it most.
