Huw Evans is UK Head of Insurance and a partner at KPMG UK. He works with clients on understanding the impacts of economic, political and regulatory change on Insurers and their customers as well as leading several major accounts. Huw led the Association of British Insurers (ABI) for seven years as its Director General including its response to Brexit and the Covid pandemic. He helped set up Flood Re and served as the SID of its board from 2016-21. He was also a board member of TheCityUK prior to joining KPMG and an ExCo member of Insurance Europe.

Previously Huw worked in banking and as a special advisor in 10 Downing Street and the Home Office in Sir Tony Blair’s government, having begun his career as a journalist.
